BioBuzz is devoted to sharing new advances in science by writing articles about current papers, literature reviews in specialized topics, and interviews with scientists. UCSF students are invited to submit such articles for publication on the blog!

When articles are submitted, our team will proofread the document and work with you for website publication.

Submission Guidelines

• Articles should be at least 400 words with a maximum of ~1000 words
• Terminology should be digestible to the general public with clear explanation of scientific topics
• Research papers used should be cited and any figures included require a detailed caption

For scientific article reviews, we suggest Nature Research Briefings for structural inspiration. For writing a literature review, we want articles centered around a scientific question such as “How do colds spread?” with multiple sources such as this blog post on how food affects the brain.
